MEGA MAN X #001
I found X inside of a capsule hidden in the remains
of Dr. Thomas Light's old laboratory. He is a very unique robot,
being the first of a race of robots called Reploids, whom whichh had
the ability to think on their own and make their own decisions. X is
not only a very intelligent being, but he is also a skilled fighter
with a strong sense of justice and a tremendous amount of courage.
This is what enabled him to go out and challenge the Maverick forces,
led by Sigma. He has foiled Sigma's attempts for world domination 4
times to date. We know that X will keep fighting until peace has been
restored to our world. X is equipped with the X Buster, a useful
weapon that allows him to charge a powerful plasma blast. His weapon
system has also been modified so that he can adapt many types of
weapons he acquires. Another special feature is his defense system.
In addition to already strong armor, X can aquire and equip even more
powerful add-ons, which can do many things ranging from increasing
his speed to reducing damage taken to no more than 50%. X truly is
one of a kind.
ZERO #000
Zero is a very mysterious character. Not much is not
known about him. After Sigma went Maverick, Zero was appointed leader
of his own special Zero Unit Maverick Hunters. Zero and X are very
loyal friends. One of his first encounters with X was when X was in
the clutches of the evil Vile, one of Sigma's most powerful troops.
Zero saved X and told him that they would meet again at Sigma's base.
During a battle with Vile, Zero was captured. X came to rescue him
and again wound up in Vile's control. Zero sacrificed his life to
save X, killing Vile in the process. Zero made his return later after
Sigma was destroyed, aiding X during a battle with the X Hunters, a
group of Mavericks intent on avenging the death of Sigma. Another
major occurence in Zero's mysterious life was during the Repliforce
affair. Iris, a very good "friend" (heehee) of Zero, and the sister
of Colonel (A member of the Repliforce), became involved with the
struggle. Zero worried for his friend, who always tried to stop her
brother from destroying him. Iris was "forced" into battle with Zero
after she had killed her brother in a deadly duel on the Repliforce
SkyBase. Zero defeated Iris, and watched his love die in his
arms.
DR. CAIN
Hoo hoo, it's me! ^_^ I'm Dr. Cain. I am a scientist
who specializes in robot technology. I am the one who began the
rebirth of the Reploid race, which X is part of. I also have a fairly
large laboratory, AND A KICKIN' WALKIN' STICK!
SIGMA
Sigma was supposed to be used to help get rid of the
Maverick epidemic. Instead, he only made it worse by leading his own
army of Mavericks against the human race. Sigma was first destroyed
by X when X first set out on his first quest to destroy Sigma. He
later returned and was stopped by X yet again. Later, he would infect
a Reploid scientist by the name of Dr. Doppler with the Sigma virus.
The last time X and Zero encountered him was when Sigma had taken
control of the Repliforce's Final Weapon. We do not know if he
return, but we're counting on it. He will be back.
VILE
Up next we've got Vile. Now, I don't know much about
this fellow, but let me tell ya, this punk was as annoying as a
little sibling. He fights most of the time inside his robot ride
armor shell. He can pack a wallop with that thing, but even without
it, he can kick some tail. He is first introduced in Mega Man X1, as
the first boss X encounters. Near the end of the game, his armor is
destroyed along with Zero. X then eliminates this bug.
GENERAL
Colonel first rears his big head in the PSX debut of
X, Mega Man X4. He leads a whole army of robots, bent on destroying
the human race and having the world to themselves. He is aided by his
trusty friend Colonel, the big brother of Zero's love interest, Iris.
General at first does not wish to have harm come to anyone, but a
brief meeting with Sigma gives him a change of mind. He builds the
Final Weapon, used for his plans. Mega Man X manages to talk him out
of using the weapon, but is too late because Sigma had already
started the countdown. He uses his body to try to destroy the weapon.
DATABASE STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION
